Doin' Pretty Damage in Portland
A belated Christmas and Happy New Year! I have been very busy with Christmas festivities that I haven't seen my fashionista /photographer friend to take pictures or to write! One highlight of my holiday was taking a shopping trip down to the states and staying in downtown Portland, Oregon with my husband, my friend Hannah, and her husband. I was not crazy about the outlets but the stores downtown and the malls had surprisingly great deals and sizes left! Hannah took me to a Goodwill boutique in Portland, where I found my favourite buy of the trip, a DKNY calf hair and leather clutch purse!! It was brand new, with the tags still on, with just a minor indent of its chain on the leather surface on its back. For $30 (originally $215), I would say that's a steal!! I'm in love with it and already used it New Year's Eve (see pics below). In addition to some fabulous finds, we had some pretty amazing meals! Restaurants and other yummy spots we hit up included the famously delicious Toro Bravo, Kenny & Zukes, Lardo, Biwa for $5 ramen, Stumptown Coffee, and of course Voodoo Donuts! KUDOS to Hannah and her hubby for taking us around town for a pretty unforgettable time! <3

Temperature Drop = Big Coats!
This is a super overdue post, from over a week ago. It's been a busy week and weekend, as my husband and I went up to Whistler for a couples' retreat. It was great to come back feeling informed about things we can work on to continue a happy marriage but I came back with a couple extra things... a sore throat and a raspy voice! Therefore, I took today off, trying to sleep it off in hopes I can go back to my kiddies tomorrow! This is why I have this bit of extra time to upload these pictures my wonderful photographer Debbie took of me awhile back when the temperatures dropped to below zero in Vancouver! Props to her for finding a perfect spot with beautiful fall colours and modern city feel background, right outside our church!

Struck Gold!
I love finding treasure and goodies, especially at exceptionally low prices! I was at Va-louis Villagé (as I once heard a celebrity call it), or Value Village, and found this pair of Bass booties in a perfect size 7! They were like new and in a stylin' oxblood colour that's trendy this season! Needless to say I am ecstatic and can't wait to start pairing these with my outfits. Oh, and did I mention these beauties only cost $18 ?? *happy dance*
(Sorry about all the stuff going on in the background! Messy storage/coat room!)

Fur & Sparkle: My Debut!
Welcome to my blog! I'm so excited to share my love for fashion and all
things pretty through this medium. Special thanks to my lovely
photographer and friend Debbie of What Doffy Does who forced
talked me into starting my own blog, and went so far as to physically
start it for me because my excuse was "I'm too busy". ;) All in all, I'm
pretty stoked about having more Sunday photoshoots with my awesome
friend and sharing some of my other outfits throughout the week! Here's
what I wore this past Sunday, inspired by Jen Tam of Her Waise Choice.
